Readers have eclectic and great book ideas. Express yours for a chance at a $25 Amazon Gift Card!

Since I love to hear what readers want, and I write faster with a prompt... I had an idea for a giveaway.

I’m one of those writers who can take one line from a song and build an entire story around it, but I’ll stare at a blank page for hours if I have to come up with an idea for a blog post. Hence this post… I’m fishing. :)

I am in the process of writing another short story to continue my mini-mystery series, and since my first collaboration, The Pit Stop, went so well, here is your mission should you choose to accept it.

And I’m even going to give out prizes. Yay!

First part of mission: Read The Depot—if you haven’t already—so you know who my leading man Mark Waters is. No worries…I’m not asking you to buy anything; it’s free in all formats. I’ll list them at the bottom of this post.

Second part of mission: How do you want his story to continue?

Here are some ideas to give you your writing prompt:

  • Does he get, keep, lose, or break up with the girl? Mark is a police detective, and it’s not always easy for a cop to stay in a relationship, so I’m going to leave that up to you.

  • He’ll be investigating something paranormal again, of course, so where would you like it to occur?

  • Heard of any good haunts? Leave me a link to a beautiful haunt you’d like to see come to life in a story. A hotel, a Bed & Breakfast, a Cruise Ship??? Getting the idea?

Now for the prizes!!!

First prize: I will randomly select five winners for a free copy of any of my novels, whether I use your idea or not. If you’ve read them all, no problem, my new one will be out soon. :)

Second prize: Everyone who participates will be entered into a raffle for a $25 Amazon gift card.

In addition to prizes one and two, the person or persons whose ideas I use will get credit on the first page of the published book with a link to their website (if they have one and want credit, that is).

That’s it! Wanna play?
You have until April 30th to read and submit your ideas.
Don't worry, though, it only takes an hour to read.
